Let’s Do Our Part to Stop Bullying

Bullying exists in many forms and happens in many places. And, with the continued expansion of the internet and the proliferation of digital devices and services, bullies now have more avenues they can use to victimise. Studies have shown that, if left unchecked, bullying, may it be online or offline, can be really damaging and have a host of major, adverse effects on the victims. This can include low grades, low self-esteem, self-harm, drug and alcohol abuse, and even suicide. As such, bullying is a growing concern, especially for many schools and families. We shouldn’t ignore it since it can affect anyone—your friends, your family, your loved ones, even you.

To stop bullying in its various forms, we should all work together and play our roles. We can start in our own homes, in school, or in the workplace. We can help each other in dealing with bullying and educate ourselves on how to prevent it and its many dangerous effects.
